Bakuchi Oil
INCI : Psoralea Corylifolia Seed Oil
Our organically crafted Babchi Oil, also called Bakuchi Oil, is cold pressed from the exquisite black seeds of the Psoralea Corylifolia plant, native to Sri Lanka and India. With its dark red-brown color and strong nutty aroma, Babchi Oil has since long been used in traditional Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine for its magical effects to cure various skin diseases such as psoriasis, leukoderma, and leprosy.

In the recent years, Bakuchiol has been gaining popularity due to various researches and is touted to be the next alternative to Retinol – an ingredient that has traditionally been used in anti-ageing skincare products. The benefits of Bakuchiol are very similar to those of Retinol but without the downsides of Retinol – which can cause redness and skin irritation and is prone to photochemical instability. Shea Oil can be considered as a fractionated form of Shea Butter since it is actually obtained as a co-product in the Shea Butter making process. Unlike Shea Butter, which remains solid and waxy at room temperature, Shea Oil has a smooth, velvet-like consistency similar to that of a typical cold-pressed oil, thus making it easier to use in cosmetic formulations.
REPORTED BENEFITS AND USES

This makes it ideal for skin types that are oily, sensitive, and mature as well as skin afflicted with acne and eczema.
